Class Exercise

This is an in-class exercise performed at the team level.

The objective is simple: to evaluate this MB022 class in terms of motivating students to perform. 

Step 1. What works/doesn't work and why? The big issue is why. Make sure to be clear about what behavior or performance is being motivated or not (studying? showing up to class? just plain liking the class?)

Step 2. Look at the class through the lenses of the motivational theories. What elements of the course result in positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, extinction and punishment? What does this course do for intrinsically motivated people? At what levels does the class operate in terms of Maslow's hierarchy? When the professor does X (say, tell team leaders about an upcoming quiz), what direct and indirect effects does this have on motivation and performance?
