All current HR Academy members and any other students interested in a potential future career in human resource management are encouraged to attend a meeting of the HR Academy this Thursday, 9/30, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in Fulton 117.
As part of HR Academy initiatives this year, we are planning to found a new Boston College chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). This Thursday night, I will go over the various resources and services available to student members of SHRM.
About SHRM: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is the world's largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 185,000 individual members, the Society's mission is to serve the needs of HR professionals by providing the most essential and comprehensive resources available. As an influential voice, the Society's mission is also to advance the human resource profession to ensure that HR is recognized as an essential partner in developing and executing organizational strategy.

Bonus: a free online HR Career Advisor webcast will be available for free to all interested students on the SHRM website, http://www.shrm.org/students/, on Thursday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m. During this webcast, HR professionals will offer advice on launching a career in human resource management.
