26 July 2007. Analytic Technologies
will be moving to
Kentucky over the next two weeks, probably beginning
July 30. Due to a stop along the way for the Academy of Management
conference, we will not be back in operation until Aug 9th.
Why
Kentucky? The business school at the
University of
Kentucky is focusing their Management department on
social networks, and creating a center for organizational network
analysis called LINKS. Check it out:

closed until Wednesday June 13th.
30 Mar 07.
We are closed until April 3, 2007. However, we will try to check
email. Please note that you can download UCINET and use it for 30 days
before having to pay for it. 2 Mar 07. There
seems to be a problem with NetDraw and sizing of nodes in Europe.
Probably something to do with Windows language settings. I'm working
on the problem.
2006
21 Dec 06. The installation program for UCINET has changed.
Unfortunately, this will require you to uninstall versions older than
6.142
before installing the 6.143 or later (unless you want to have two
separate versions on your hard disk, which could get confusing,
especially if you have any shortcuts lying around).
11 Dec 06. In the process of changing installation program
for UCINET. For some people, this could result in the program being
unable to find NetDraw. If this happens, go to Options|Helper
Applications and select Netdraw entry. Use browse button to find the
netdraw program. It is probably located here:
c:\program files\analytic
technologies\netdraw. ONce you find the folder, just click on
netdraw.exe and from then on UCINET should be able to find it again.
09 August 06. We believe we've worked everything out with
the phones after our recent move. But if you have
any trouble, please contact us via email
(sales@analytictech.com,
support@analytictech.com)
31 July 06. We are currently moving. We will be out of
contact for several days.
17 July 06. We will be moving to a new location in early
August. This means that Analytic Technologies will be closed from
August 1 through August 6 and will likely be a bit slow for
another week.
29 Jun 06. Online web form now accepts credit cards via
secure server.
8 Jun 06. Spanish translation of NetDraw guide (by Vicente
Espinoza,
vespinoz@usach.cl) is here.
2005
6 July. Tested NetDraw on a sparse network with
10,000 nodes on a laptop with 2GB of memory. Worked well.
30 Mar. Have you had problems installing UCINET
on your machine? Try this.
21-3 May. New version of NetDraw uploaded. Still
somewhat experimental.

05 October 2004. Warning: If you have e-mailed us
recently and not received a reply, you might want to re-send: our e-mail
system has been "flaky" in the last few days. Our apologies for any
inconvenience. It will be fixed shortly.
13 September 2004. The next network analysis workshop by Steve
Borgatti and Martin Everett will be held at the Sunbelt social network
conference in Redondo Beach, California, in February 2005. Check the
INSNA website over the next few months for more information about the
conference and workshops:
www.insna.org
27 July. We're back from the UK, so please give us a call if
you need anything! We are processing orders that came in over the past
couple of weeks as fast as possible, but if you have any questions about

6 June. I believe the 2-week
introductory course in social
network analysis offered at the
University of Essex from July 12 to 23
is fully booked. However, the 1-week
advanced course (taught by John Skvoretz) that follows it appears to
still be open29 May. There will be a 2-week intensive course in social
network analysis offered at the University of Essex from July 12 to 23,
taught by Steve Borgatti. The 2-week course is followed by a 1-week
advanced course taught by John Skvoretz.
2 May. PLEASE NOTE: Analytic Technologies will be closed from May
8-21 since we'll be at the Sunbelt Networks conference in Slovenia (and
other travel). We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. If
you'd like to try UCINET while we're gone, you can download it for free
for 30 days. To do so, go to the "ucinet" link on the left on this page.
22 Apr. Fixed major bug introduced in UCINET version 6.44
(April 9th, 2004). The import procedure was incorrectly reading dl files
using fullmatrix format in which row labels were not embedded. Current
(fixed) version is 6.47.
8 Apr. UCINET 6.43 available. Hierarchical clustering now runs on
each matrix in a 3-way dataset. Also includes some additional output.7 Apr. UCINET version 6.42 is now available. This
version improves the metric MDS and Correspondence Analysis procedures
so that they can handle multiple matrices in a single dataset.
4 Apr. UCINET version 6.40 is now available. It adds the
ability to combine separate graphs into one larger graph -- taking the
union of all nodes and lines.21. Mar. Uploaded Ucinet
6.39, which fixes some bugs and adds routine for removing isolates. New
Netdraw (version 0.27) includes *simple* link and node editor that
allows you to do things like delete a line.
12. Mar. Uploaded Ucinet
6.37, which now reads Pajek 2-mode files (previously only read 1-mode
files). Also allows multiple file select in new arithmetic procedures
involving multiple files.
10 Mar. Re-instated old
UCINET installation program. This should eliminate the error that new
users were getting when trying to install version 6.35.
8 Mar. Changed the installation procedure for
UCINET 6.35 to fix a potential bug, but probably introduced a new one.
If you receive an error message choose "ignore". I will fix it March
10th.
7 Mar. Changed the installation procedure for
UCINET 6.35 to fix a potential bug.
5 Mar. New Matrix Regression QAP routines
installed in UCINET 6.35, including latest
k-step semi-partialling by Dekker, Krackhardt and Snijders.
23 Feb. An email-based user's group for people who want to share
information about using UCINET, NetDraw or any other social network
software products has been created. Click here
for more information.
22 Feb. New improved beta version of UCINET 6.34 is now available for download. Click
here. This version contains many new
utility routines, such as menu-driven matrix manipulation routines,
ability to import multiple text files at a time, and
a spreadsheet for larger datasets. It also includes a new version of NetDraw
(1.0.0.26) which fixes many bugs.
17 Feb. Netdraw version 1.0.0.26 has been uploaded. Click
here to download.
? Dec 03. Anthropac for DOS has been updated to have real installation
procedure.
Latest version of
Netdraw has been uploaded. The node coloring
window has been improved to work better with large datasets.
Previously
updated to enable MDS layouts based on edge weights and to allow boolean selection of ties based on tie attributes.
New (standalone) spreadsheet
for UCINET files is now available. Can handle matrices larger than 255
columns as well as multiple relations. Can read and write current Excel files. Click
here to download.
Bug in Netdraw VNA procedure fixed.
Download here.
New version (1.43) of KeyPlayer uploaded which
integrates better with current versions of NetDraw 1.0.
Current version of UCINET is 6.29. Some
changes in the experimental QAP regression procedure. However, it is now
known that this procedure will be changed to match Dekker's latest
proposal. Download UCINET here.
Bug found in UCINET versions 6.04 and above. It was in the degree
centrality procedure,
when the saved centrality dataset has the wrong labels. The numbers are
right, and are in the original order, but the labels for the nodes are
in the wrong order. A fixed version (6.26) has been uploaded. Click here
to download. (Thanks to Melissa Schilling for finding this bug.)
Beta version of new QAP regression model
is available in version 6.24 of Ucinet 6 for Windows.
Download now!
Serious bug in NetDraw reading of DL
files fixed. Reading of tie properties (e.g., line color) in VNA files
also fixed. Current version of NetDraw is 1.0.0.16. Features include
faster Factions and Newman-Girvan routines. Download here.
Ucinet 6 for Windows (version 6.24)
is now available!
Includes free NetDraw visualization package. Click here to download. It is free
to UCINET 5 users ($10 if you want us to ship you a CD). NOTE: if your original version of UCINET is older than 3/02, you must
contact support@analytictech.com
to obtain a registration code. If you have already registered your copy
of UCINET,
you should be able to download the latest versions as often as you like
without a new registration code.
NetDraw version 1.0.0.5 now available. New version
permits textual node attributes (e.g., gender can have values like
"male" and "female"). Users can change node labels
to the values of any node attribute. Coloring and selecting of nodes
decoupled. Download here.
Ucinet 6 runs
for 30 days without a registration code -- perfect for workshops and
some classes. Note: this is the "real" program -- not a
limited demo version.
New version of ANTHROPAC 4.98x for DOS is
available at a new, lower price of $75 for professional/academic
and $30 for students. It now runs on fast machines (any version of
Windows).
New version of the
free UCINET IV (for DOS) program is available that runs on ALL modern
PCs. Click here.
